Problems getting an unlock code

I havent recieved a  network unlock code and its been 11 working days is this normal? I did get a confirmation email from vodafone the day i filled out the form saying they can unlock it for me so it should come right?

Please check your spam email inboxes. 

Msy i ask which phone your asking to be unlocked ?

I ask because iPhones are not unlocked by getting a code from Vodafone and keying it in. 

If its an iPhone it can take Apple approximately 30 days to unlock an iPhone. 

Periodically insert an active Alternative Networks SIM card. If it’s an iPhone 4s or Lower you’ll also need to hook up to iTunes.

thanks yeah its an iphone 7 32gb black. should i just wait for vodafone to get back to me or contact apple?

Apple wouldn’t discuss unlocking a Network locked iPhone with you and would just advise to speak with Vodafone Uk. 

As Vodafone has replied to you that means the unlocking has been requested to Apple. 

Apple now take on releasing it from their Database. 

All you need to do now is periodically insert an activated alternative Network SIM card in and once it eventually unlocks it’ll accept the SIM card. 

Like i say it can take from now up to approximately 30 days.

So i should insert my alternative sim in and wait for it to unlock?

Yes keep trying the SIM card in the phone. 

Either remove and reinsert and or turn on Aeroplane Mode or turn it off and On. 

It wouldn’t harm to hook up to iTunes but with your model of iPhone that isn’t usually necessary.
