I have been attempting to unlock an iphone 7 bought via a third party and efforts so far comprise approximately 15 calls to vodafone (including various managers and the complaints department), 2 visits to the vodafone shop to speak to a 'technical expert', around 7 escalations to the NUC resolutions team and countless times filling in the online form myself. I have also spoken with Apple at length and reset the phone, re registered etc...

I took out a SIM card pay as you go SIM card with credit and have been using it since early October as is advised. I have been told again and again that the IMEI doesnt match or register on the account however my phone is locked to VODAFONE. Each time an NUC application is completed (12 so far) the same message saying check your IMEI and try again arrrives in my inbox regardless of how high it is escalated. I have just finsihed another (no. 15) deiscussion with the complaints telephone line and can not seem to get put in touch with the NUC team directly leaving me top call the call center staff and give them hell each time I contact which for the past couple of weeks has been twice a day.

This is not a normal experience I am sure and I have never been treated by a company like this in my life. It seems they actually cannot unlock the phone for some reason leaving me stuck with a very expensive phone that I can only us on their joke of a network which is something I would not wish on my worst enemy.

I can understand your frustration here @dhopkins789

One thing that stands out is a 3rd party supplied the iPhone.

I'm thinking that 3rd party has not properly updated Vodafone with the phone details.

Have you / can you speak with this 3rd party and ask them to either check they have updated Vodafone or can update Vodafone. 

When a contract is taken out via a 3rd party then you are their Customer with Vodafone supplying the network connection.

The 3rd party has a duty of care also to look after you.
