Hello everybody peps,

I have been quite impressed with the new range of phones coming out of china, notably the elephone s7 and p9000.

A friend mentioned that I should ensure that the phone could be used in the UK and on my Vodafone network. He said that I would know through the network spec's?!

The network spec's for the elephone s7 are:

WLAN:802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4G/5G
Band Details(EU):
GSM:B2/B3/B5/B8 (1900/1800/850/900)
WCDMA:B1/B8 (2100/900)
FDD-LTE:B1/B3/B7/B20 (2100/1800/2600/800)
TDD-LTE:B38/B40(2600/2300)
4G+ VOLTE(Local telecom carrier match is required)

Is this compatable with my Vodafone network?

Thanking all you brainy folks out there in advance!

muchas gracias!!

Hi @mervyn2011

It's both the frequencies and bands that needs to be looked at.

Regarding Bands

In the 4G auction, Vodafone secured 800MHz (band 20) and 2600MHz (band 7).

I must also point out that Vodafone wouldn't be able to guarantee that they will be able to support a phone not released for the Uk market i.e. An Import phone even if the frequencies and bands look to be ok.

The only real way of knowing is trying a sim in it.
