So I'm considering moving to Vodafone and am wondering if I can use the 4G backup dongle in a different router (Synology), or, if the usb dongle would be the problem, even just take the sim out and hook the sim up to something else.
The reason: I want the failover function on the 4g backup to be as seamless as possible, and have heard that others have had issues with how quickly it kicks in. If I can set it up as the failover connection on my Synology router, I think it would be faster and seamless compared to the alternative. Otherwise, I'd need to consider getting a data-only sim instead (which would cost more, but if it's significantly more reliable i'd consider it)
