Devices disconnecting regularly

richyboy1980

I've noticed recently that some devices on wifi have been disconnecting from the BB hub on a regular basis. Here is part of the log.

Has anyone any idea why this is happening? or is it likely that I need a new hub?

Thanks

It's dissapointing that you've decided to raise a complaint @HappyNomad, however I'm sure our Customer Relations team will be able to help.

I'm disappointed that I have had to raise a complaint.  The whole Vodafone experience has been very disappointing but thanks anyway.

"blair It's dissapointing that you've decided to raise a complaint happynomad ", Is blair having a laugh. whats dissapointing is that vodafone are paying you a wage to go and insult users

Wow!
We are now experiencing the same thing with devices being disconnected…

And this thread was started 2 years ago. You’d have thought Vodafone would’ve released a firmware update to resolve it by now!!

@ZeeSaffa

If you are having devices disconnect from the router, that is not a common problem reported on here.

Previous to your post, it has been nearly 3 years since anyone posted on this thread, so any problems that existed then seem well and truly over.

I would suggest starting a new thread and stating exactly what problems you are having and I'm sure we will be able to offer some advice.

I’m thinking you may have a defective router….

As one of the original disgruntled contributors to this thread, (and still here) I was under the impression that the problem had gone away, whether through Vodafone’s corrective interventions or through something Apple changed in it’s iOS firmware - it was primarily an issue with Apple devices rather than the various other wifi/wired devices I had back then and indeed still have although three of the four Apple devices have since changed.

That said, i long ago replaced the then not fit for purpose THG3000 with my own modem and mesh router - my Superfast 2 service has been entirely trouble free and good value for what I pay per month ever since.

Good to know and helpful - thank you :Smiling:

@Blair why is it that when the 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks are combined we get the disconnecting issue, yet when they work separately the issue seems to improve significantly? Are there any plans to release new firmware to improve the situation?

@richyboy1980 Hi there, honestly there's a lot of things that may cause this issue from wireless interference to the channels that the router has assigned the automatic connection to. At present we're not aware of any new firmware launch but our third line team are constantly reviewing it. Joe
