Hi. I'm new to vodafone broadband, just received gigabox, and wanted to setup usb printer sharing and/or ssd disk file sharing.
When I plug in printer it detects it but when I chose apply green slider automatically reverts back to gray.
I'm confused and don't know how to pass this.
Pasting log event in case this might be helpfull:
11/10/2020 07:27:54 [591250.672840] DROP wan in: IN=pppoe-wan OUT= MAC= src=134.209.148.107 DST=90.253.36.137 LEN=40 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=237 ID=25563 PROTO=TCP SPT=47663 DPT=5983 WINDOW=1024 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 MARK=0x8000000 firewall 11/10/2020 07:26:37 [591173.464309] DROP wan in: IN=pppoe-wan OUT= MAC= src=194.26.25.121 DST=90.253.36.137 LEN=40 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=239 ID=13737 PROTO=TCP SPT=45804 DPT=9313 WINDOW=1024 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 MARK=0x8000000 firewall 11/10/2020 07:26:10 Failed to send DHCPV6 message to ff02::1:2 (Permission denied) system
Also with file sharing I followed this instruction. But when I plug in any of my hdd or usb stick router detects it, but there is no green slider next to a device only share all slider I can slide to green. Where to go form here?
Im also adding screenshots.
Thanks for any help

Wow, Vodafone.ie seem to have lots more info on their router than we do in the UK, shame it seems to be wrong.
I have the THG3000 router which appears to be the same hardware, probably with different firmware. What version is your firmware? Mine is 19.2.0203-3261005
I am using the sharing for a USB stick and it works O.K in Windows but I haven't tried a printer. But like yourself there is only a slider to turn sharing on of off and no other controls.
I explained how I share it here so it may help.

Half of success...
Managed to map usb drive in windows. Have to try now in linux mint as I mainly use this system.
But still unsuccessful with the printer. Why it does not allow me to turn on sharing printer green slider. When I click apply it freezes and I can't do anything until I click cancel.
Firmware-Version: 19.2.0307-3261013
Thanks for help

That is the same firmware that some users in the UK have so it sounds like the Gigabox and the THG3000 are more similar than I thought. Might I ask, are you able to change the wifi channel in the firmware on your router?

No I can't.
There is only option to change bandwidth.
