Welcome to Vodafone Community
I've recently subscribed to vodafone broadband and mostly everything is great. However there's a few sites which just aren't reachable, stackoverflow.com being the most obvious
Traceroute example below
Anyone else experiencing this?
Not just me more examples below
How is changing DNS servers going to cure a routing problem?
This was first thing vofafone support try and get you to do to resolve the issue too.
The lack of knowledge is frustrating but understandable.
Still no resolution for me this morning
Tracing route to stackoverflow.com [22.214.171.124]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms vodafone.broadband [192.168.1.1]
2 14 ms 15 ms 13 ms host-212-158-250-32.dslgb.com [126.96.36.199]
3 17 ms 18 ms 17 ms 188.8.131.52
4 19 ms 18 ms 18 ms 10.200.18.53
5 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms ae5-100-xcr1.man.cw.net [184.108.40.206]
6 21 ms 21 ms 33 ms ae21-xcr1.ltw.cw.net [220.127.116.11]
7 * * * Request timed out.
8 21 ms 21 ms 23 ms 18.104.22.168
Is that the correct IP address? As I may be using a different DNS lookup.
So you get as far as Vodafone Americas and then your into their internal network, 10.0.0.0 private address system, and from their it goes titsup, Total Inability To Support Usual Pathway.
AND out into Vodafone Americas again possibly and looping around and around until the TTL dies?
I'm also seeing this issue. I posted on a different thread: https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Other-broadband-queries/Strange-problem-accessing-certain-sites/td-p...
