Hi all,

Just switched from another provider to Vodafone. The issue I am facing is the router isnt giving me much coverage of WiFi. So brought a ax3000. Got my pppov username and password. Tried setting it up but keep getting an Amber light on the router? Now I am not so tech savy when it comes to this sort of stuff. Help would be great, I have tried setting up the router via the app and the IP way.

@Ron121 There's a good change that VF told you the wrong credentials, they do this a lot.

Your username will be in the format dsl0123456789 @Broadband.vodafone.co.uk and the password will be a reasonably short mix of letters and numbers - make sure to copy the details in text form or get them sent to you by email.

Assuming that you have FTTP as you've not mentioned a modem:  If your connection is provided by CityFibre you'll also need to set VLAN ID on the connection page to 911...

Thanks for your reply. Yes it provided my city fibre. How do I set the vlan to 101. I am setting it via the app.

CityFibre is 911, not 101.

Edit: Posted before I noticed @Ripshod has already said that.

Thank you for your reply. The only difference I can see is there is no . Before the @

Thats just because it's not possible for us to post email addresses, so if it look reasonably similar to

dsl number @Broadband.vodafone.co.uk you should be good.  VF do very often though give the wrong details, or if they read them out get letters and numbers confused (make sure you copy and paste either from chat or email).

It looks pretty much like the email you posted. Vf did end up texting me the details. Just don't work. The only thing I couldn't work out was how to set up the vlan code to 101 though the app.

If you're on Cityfibre as you suggested earlier the VLAN ID should be 911. If you're on openreach VLAN ID should be left blank. If vf are saying 101 they they are under the impression you're on fttc with openreach.

Thanks. But where is the vlan 911 entered. I see the option for vlan and thats all I got too.
