Trouble using corporate VPN

Hi,

I've recently started a job , but I'm working from home due to Covid-19. I can connect to the corporate VPN with my work laptop ok to start with, but it drops every 20 or so minutes meaning I can't use Outlook or access files on Teams. It still tells me I'm connected to my work VPN and I can still chat on Teams, I just can't use Outlook. I've been through three laptops and my IT department say it must be my broadband provider or router causing the problem.

Is there a setting I can access on the router to allow my corporate VPN to work consistently?

All help gratefully received!

I've tried changing the DNS settings on the router to the Google ones and thought that had sorted my issues, but it hadn't.  My IT Helpdesk have asked me to find out:

1. Is there any limitation on the number of WiFi devices you can have connected in one house?

2. Are there any restrictions on the VPN connection?

3. Check the port for VPN data traffic is opened - I assume I need to log on to the router to do this?
