Hi @Deegee23
In order to fully activate a payg SIM card it has to connect to the local network and it is advisable to make the first chargeable connection and activate the SIM in the UK.
If everything is working correctly before leaving the UK and you have added credit you won't have any problems when abroad and will find roaming already enabled on the SIM cards.

Hi @Deegee23
The Payg Sim card is usually already activated and just needs a chargeable call to be made as per Getting Started.
Just give it a go is my advice.
If not then you'll just need to use a local sim card instead.
Vodafone UK Payg and Vodafone Pay Monthly are just for short term usage in regards to roaming and a person needs to ensure the roaming bar has been lifted.

Hey @Deegee23, thanks for getting in touch. As previously advised by @AnnS and @BandOfBrothers, you'd need to activate the SIM whilst in the UK. The best thing you can do from here would be to buy a local SIM when you arrive in France 👍
