Moving from Pay monthly to PAYG

Hello,

 

I've recently canceled my monthly contract to a PAYG since I will be abroad for a while. I went to the store yesterday and they told me to call 191 for confirmation that I won't have to get a new SIM. Unfortunatley all the 191 options regarding SIM cards redirect to a text message. I'll be flying tomorow morning so I have no idea if I will need another SIM. Can anyone give me instructions of where I can look to see if I'm safe or not?

Hi @Phoneuser99 

 

You use the same SIM card, it just changes from pay monthly to PAYG.

 

The problems you are going to have is changing from pay monthly to PAYG due to 30 days notice this takes 30 days to complete and for PAYG the SIM should be activated in the UK. The quicker way to get the number changed to PAYG is to PAC out to any other network and back into Vodafone on PAYG by completing this form :  Keep My Number this avoids the 30 days notice.

 

As you are leaving the UK tomorrow, the pay monthly should still be working and will change over at the 30 day period.
