My quest for a NUC code for my Vodafone Platinum 7 from Vodafone!

I have spent nearly 2 months and many hours on the phone to the Pay as you go team, all around the world, to obtain a network unlock code for my phone.

The complete ineptitude of the unlock team defies belief.

11 requests for a NUC, 1 by me via the internet and the other 10 by the PAYG team.

Lots of apologies and escalations which do nothing to get me a NUC code for my phone. On my last call to the PAYG team yesterday I decided enough was enough. I called and requested a 'letter of deadlock' as my nerves can take no more of this incompetence.

It does not surprise me that Vodafone, in the U.K. ,has been ranked the worst service provider for the last 4 years.

Colleen, tech team, I have already given the tech team the opportunity to resolve this issue.

You came back and just repeated the same old lame excuse that the phone is already unlocked.

You don't even read the notes on my account because if you did you would not just repeat the same excuse that I have been given the last 6 times.

How about engaging your brain first and actually resolve this issue.

Spoke on the phone to Edward Robinson, Friday 31 March 2017, who is supposed to be running with this complaint now from the director's complaints dept. A call I had to intiate as they seem reluctant to actually phone a customer, on the requested phone no, let alone resolve any issues.

I initiated this director's complaint on the 24 March 2017 and todate they have listened to little of what the problem is.

The result of the conversation on the 31/03/17 was that they were going to request a code from the manufacturer! god, don't these people bother reading the customer's notes or e-mails or listen to them while they repeat for the 14th time what the issue is? I advised Edward Robinson that the manufacturer will merely state what they have many times before on this specific issue and that is the phone is already unlocked. I requested that he have a manual unlock performed on this phone which he said he would have done!

I e-mailed him on Sat 01 April for an update - no reply, I e-mailed him on Sunday to advise that if my phone was not unlocked by end of buisiness on Friday 7 April 2017 I would pursue outside of vodafone to have this issue resolved and I don't mean paying someone else to unlock it but the oumbudsman service.

I e-mailed him again this a.m. Tuesday 4 April 2017 to request an update as of yet no reply.

I will update this thread when and IF vodafone/Edward Robinson come back to me.

We're sorry to hear about your experiencing trouble in getting your phone unlocked.

If you're still waiting for a reply, let us know and we'll be happy to assist you further with this.

It is now the Thursday 6th April 2017, todate I am now waiting on a nuc code from the manufacturer as Vodafone's director's complaint dept say that is procedure. Even though I have repeatedly advised this dept that this has been done 6 or 7 times out of the last 13 or so requests for a copy of the code. This last appeal through the director's complaint dept has taken from the 24/03/17 to today 06/04/17 just to get back to the stage for the N.U,C department's specialist!!!!!!! to request the code from the manufacturer, which I am still waiting on.

I have requested a manual unlock on the phone several times now and at least 4 times for a letter of deadlock, but these two requests just get ignored.

I will update this thread if and when I hear back from the director's complaints dept, sigh!

@yoghurtbrain

Please let us know your reference number from your email conversation with the Social Media team. It'll look like [#15xxxxxx].

Once we know it, we'll chase this up and help get things sorted for you. I've been unable to locate the email using your registered email address on the Vodafone Community.

I sincerely doubt that. It is with the director's complaints dept now, not that they seem to be doing much other than continuing to waste my time and ignore the actual issue.

@yoghurtbrain

If you change your mind and would like us to chase this up for you, just update this thread with your reference number.

OK ChazzD 08-04-2017 01:39pm - The social media comms ref wa #15590421, but do not come back saying the phone is already unlocked and for me to put a different sim in the phone AS | HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS BY VODAFONE FOR THE LAST 6 OR 7 TIMES, INCLUDING THE SOCIAL MEDIA COMMS GROUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CURRENTLY A REQUEST FOR A NUC CODE, INCLUDING THE REQ FROM THE DIRECTOR COMPLAINTS DEPT, IS 14 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE PROBLEM IS I DO NOT HAVE THE UNLOCK CODE TO ENTER INTO THE PHONE TO UNLOCK IT WHEN I PLACE A SIM FROM ANOTHER PROVIDER INTO IT. THE PHONE SPECIFICALLY STATES IT IS LOCKED TO A SPECIFIC PROVIDER.

THE ONLY NETWORK THIS PHONE WILL CONNECT TO IS VODAFONE, NOT 3, EE, POST OFFICE, GIFFGAFF, O2 OR ANY OTHER PROVIDER.

THE MANUFACTURER MAY HAVE SUPPLIED A NUC CODE, BUT I DO NOT HAVE IT TO ENABLE ME TO UNLOCK THE PHONE WHEN I INSERT A DIFFERENT SIM IN AND THE PHONE REQUESTS AN UNLOCK CODE.

I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE VODAFONE UNDERSTAND ALL I NEED IS A COPY OF THE NUC CODE.

@yoghurtbrain - I’m sorry to hear of all the problems you’ve had getting this sorted.

I can see we last replied via email on 24 March.

Please reply to the last email in that chain and the team can look into this further.

Chazzd. I gave you the ref because you said that you would sort it out.

Just forget it I will pursue  the director's complaints dept on Monday, absolutely useless people..
