Question about picking up PAYG sim card

Hey soon to be neighbours, I'll be moving to London next week and need a sim card for my phone asap. I think I'll go with the Vodafone Pay as you go option with one of their "freebees". Does anyone know if I can walk into a Vodafone shop and walk out with a functioning sim in a couple of minutes or does it take a couple of days? If not, do you know any alternative where I can https://9apps.ooo/  get a prepaid sim card immediately (with data usage)

All Vodafone stores are currently closed. You can however pick up a Vodafone Pay Go sim card from various corner shops and some supermarkets.

I would first suggest to check what signal and data speeds would be achieved in your postcode area via the Vodafone Service Checker.  

Also check that your phone is unlocked to all networks so that it will accept a Vodafone UK Sim card.

If your phone says Sim Unsupported  or similar when you pop in the Vodafone sim card them your previous network will need to unlock it or check a reputable online unlocking site.

I usually pick my Vodafone Payg Sim Cards up from …

Petrol Service Station or most Newsagents have them.

Look at what pre loaded Payg Tariff is on them.

You'll have either the Big Value Bundle or Payg1 to choose from.

In regards to activating the sim card.

If for some reason when you insert your new Vodafone sim card you don't get the automated mobile data set up texts so you can surf on your phone then text WEB to 40127.
