Account Closed and Settled But Still Reporting to Credit Reference Agencies

Hi Vodafone

My account has been closed on 7th January, final bill paid in February and £0 balance on account.

You are still reporting to credit reference agencies that the account is active, and not closed and Settled.

I have spoken with your customer service team online and by phone, and no one seems to understand what I'm talking about.

 

Please can someone help me from the Forum Team to get me in touch with the correct department to have my account 'closed and settled' with all credit reference agencies? Thanks.

Same issue as everyone else here;  I closed a Broadband account 12 months ago and it's continuingly returning a monthly zero balance on my credit file.

 

I called customer service to resolve the issue but they can't access the account as it's closed and advised me to reset my security details via the following link www.vodfone.co.uk/securityreset and call back.  The security reset  should have sent me a new pin code within 24hrs but I have received nothing.

 

Can somebody advise me on how to contact the dedicated Credit File team without the need for me to register a Facebook or Twitter account please so I can get this resolved.

Closed accounts will continue to be reported against your credit file after closure.

Experian here mention 10 years Closed Accounts and your Credit History 

Yes, you are correct, closed accounts do remain visible on your credit file.  However this is not showing as a closed account, it is showing as an active account and returning a zero balance every month.

 

Therefore, as previously requested, can somebody advise me on how to contact the dedicated Credit File team without the need for me to register a Facebook or Twitter account please so I can get this resolved.

 

 

Hi @chjaka 👋 You can also contact us over Live chat as well which you can find on the link here alongside the option of contacting us by social media, when contacting by phone as long as your account can be located we should only need to go through a few basic security questions, as the account itself in most cases will no longer be active.

I'm having the same issue.. trying to get my credit check in order for a mortgage application. I have two previous contracts Showing as active. These are both closed and had no debts associated with them. Please can you assist in getting these removed?

@derekm @RachaelH I'm sorry to hear your credit files have been affected by the same issues, where you've believed the accounts to be closed. We're happy to investigate this for you and make amendments where necessary.

Please follow some instructions I've sent you via private message, this will help get you in touch with our credit file specialist to get things resolved. 

Can you please message me as Vodafone are still reporting my closed account as open with a £0 balance. It's causing issues on my credit report. Your live chat team wouldn't help at all after 20+mins of wasting my time!

Hi

i am having the same problem after leaving Vodafone over 5years ago!! Still showing up on my credit report. I have phoned up on a number of occasions trying to resolve this too. Can you please get in touch do I can finally remove this closed account.
