Default due on my next credit report - COMPLETE MISTAKE FROM VODAFONE - I AM ABOUT TO GET A MORTGAGE

I am so upset right now.

I have had an absolute nightmare with Vodafone in the last 3 months and it is so upsetting as I have had such great service for over 3 years.

I had a situation where I went over my minutes in Jan/Feb and I did not realise - I thought I had 500 minutes. After countless calls and escalations with Vodafone, we came to an arrangement where I would pay £45 per month for the last remaining 3 months of my contract.

I even spoke to one of the customer escalations team and they advised that everything is okay because I had my suspicions as no one within the company could communicate properly on what was happening with my account. I was told at numerous stages that I had a payment plan set up and that I pay before the 12th of each month the amount of £45. I have payments to prove this!!! Vodafone can see this on the notes on my account and on any call recordings held.

I am absolutely devastated to find that I have a default due on my April credit report - RIGHT WHEN I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A MORTGAGE. I AM SO UPSET AFTER EVERYTHING I HAVE ALREADY DEALT WITH.

I need help urgently. This is a complete shambles and I feel sick. I have done nothing wrong and completely complied with vodafone. My contract ends next month and this is the worst thing that could happen right now!

PLEASE HELP!! I need someone in the credit team to sort this ASAP!!!

I know from my personal experience how damaging a default can be @JJA94

When a payment plan is agreed and set up the person needs to know that this plan also can be reported onto their Credit File.

Not all phone conversations are recorded and those that are recorded are typically only retained for 60 days.

However your Account Notes should reflect what was agreed and discussed.

Please Let the Vodafone Social Media Teams here catch up with your thread and they'll bring you in away from the open forum to pass security checks.

They also have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who will be able to fully investigate this for you.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

Thanks for getting in touch @JJA94 . One of the Credit File Specialists in our team will be happy to take a closer look into this for you.

So they can access your account securely, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.

Are you sure it's a default and not an arrangement to pay? Although technically different both of them are quite damaging.

To be fair to Vodafone you did make an agreement to pay so if that's what they are reporting then it's correct.
