My husband is no longer a customer of vodafone however has a default on his account from a few years ago. We are currently trying to get a mortgage and unfortunately cannot due to this default. It was settled as soon as we were notified (at the time) but yet this account still has a default.
We dont even have any information for this account anymore - possibly a mobile number that was from that account and our address at the time. I have tried to call vodafone but not had any luck. Looking for an email address/ address to send a letter to.
Thanks
Emma

Your husband would need to make contact with customer service or the team here due to security checks and account access.
The Vodafone Social Media Teams here have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who can help but they would need to engage with him.
When a person pays the debt off unfortunately that does not remove it from the credit file but instead changes its status to settled.
If the default was warranted then it would remain for 6 years before dropping off.
I wish you all the best with this situation.
