Default on Credit Rating - URGENT

Hello

3 years ago my wife and I went to Canada and used date while we were over there. Our contract stated that there would be a £40 cap on data chargers and then we would get a notification when we reached 80% of this cap and then the data would be tuned off when we reached 100%.  We never got this message and our data wasn't stopped. When we got back we received our bill as normal a couple weeks later but the bill was for over £1800, I phoned Vodafone straight away and the advisor on the phone instructed me to cancel the direct debit while this matter was looked into.

After weeks of phone calls and emails to Vodafone we eventually had to go to the Ombudsmum and the bill was reduced.

We have since had a baby and now we are looking at moving house. Unfortunalty we have just found out that we are not able to get a mortgage because of a default on our credit file from Vodafone. We have never defaulted on a payment in our lives. This mistake from Vodafone is potentially going to affect the rest of our lives.

Can someone PLEASE contact me URGTENTLY so we can arrange having this default removed fro our credit file.

Thanks

Sorry to hear of your problem. Sadly you won't get any kind of urgency on here,  especially at a weekend. There is no channel to access urgent action from Vodafone in any event. However that doesn't mean the problem can't be resolved; your best bet is to wait for the Vodafone Social Media team here to get to your post,  they have credit experts who will be able to sort this out if anyone can. Hopefully you still have copies of your original contract and the Ombudsman's judgement.  Please hang in there for a few days, and watch for replies to your post - they will get to you.
