Hi I'm wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I'm in the process of buying a house and there is a default in my name from Vodafone for £150 it was back in 2014.  Just wondering who I can speak to about this as everytime I ring customer service I get passed from pilar to post. I am not a Vodafone customer so feeling very lost. Please help me.  Thank you

Best place I can point you is to contact the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries as they have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team @Lduignan6

Link back to your thread here including your forum username so your not having to repeat yourself. I'd suggest Twitter.

However if the default was warranted then it'll remain on your credit file for 6 years.

Vodafone won't remove it as they have a responsibility to report such instances to other lenders.

If the debt is paid it'll show as settled or outstanding if the debt is still owed. Settled does obviously look better.

If you've never been a Vodafone Customer and not opened up a contract for anyone then they'll need to investigate.

In the interim you can ask Experian to add a notice of correction. Default-on-your-Credit-File-And-How-to-add-a-Notice-of-Correction.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

You're very welcome @Lduignan6

I appreciate from personal experience how damaging a default can be.

Best of luck.
