I’ve recently learned that I have a default on my credit score from Vodafone due to failure to pay a bill which I thought was still in dispute, I’ve had no letters and if I knew this was going to happen I would of paid it all off at once . I would pay double the amount owed if I knew it was going to cause me this much heart ache for my family for now I can’t get a mortgage and my wife is distraught ! How can I correct this mid communication !? Please help

I appreciate from personal experience how damaging a default that lasts 6 years can be on a persons credit file.
That's why when a bill is in dispute it's a much better route to pay it if you can and then challenge the bill to try and get a refund.
This is because it's much easier acquiring a refund than trying to have a default removed.
Vodafone are not required to pre warn a person they are applying a default onto a persons Credit File so more often than not a person finds out when they decide to apply for something and or just check their credit file.
Vodafone wouldn't arrange to have a default removed if it's a warranted one.
That said, We do however have a Vodafone Social Media Team here who help where they can once they've caught up with the thread and to add they also have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who can investigate for you.
I wish you all the best with this situation.

So they can access your account securely, I've sent you a private message with details on how to get in touch.
