Default to credit rating - URGENT

AshleyJArmes

Hi all,

i recently applied for a mortgage which got denied. On looking at my credit file through Experian I had a default payment on my credit from Vodafone with the dates 2012-2014. I haven’t been on Vodafone since before these dates and was never contacted Reference a missed payment / payment still to be paid as I would of paid it straight away.

I thought this was weird and so I rang up Vodafone on Saturday. They cannot find anything with my name / address on the system for outstanding money. Where do I go from here?

thanks in advance!

Vodafone changed billing systems so you may be on the old one.

Let the Vodafone Social Media Team here catch up with your thread and they'll pass your details to their Credit File Specialist Team for investigation.

If a person closes down their Direct Debit too early before paying the final bill which is due in approx 2-4 weeks and then they get a sorry your leaving letter and a £0 bill which confirms account cancellation then if Vodafone cannot collect Payment they can add a default on a person's Credit File without having to give prior warning to the account holder.

I wish you all the best with this situation.
