I'm applying for a mortgage and may be declined because there is a Vodafone default on my credit report that I had no idea about! It's from over 3 years ago and I had no idea it was there! Can someone from the Vodafone Social Media Team/ Credit Specialist Team get in touch with me please.
I'd suggest reaching out to the social media team either through Facebook or Twitter to get this looked into, they can get this sent across to the credit team to understand what happened here.
If they didn't notify you of the debt or contact you then there are grounds to dispute.
Also from your post, it sounds like the whole thing is a surprise (you don't mention an account you ended around that time) so definitely needs a deep dive.

Thanks for your help! I didn't really want to contact them on a social media as others can see it but I don't think I have a choice. Curse the day I ever stepped foot into a Vodafone store!
Other alternative is to raise a complaint via the website.
...and register a case there.
They'll case manage and contact you back 🙂
