Help! Vodafone has ruined my credit rating with £15 and ruined my mortgage chances

I cancelled my monthly contract in July 2019 after being with Vodafone for 10years (I joined in 2009) To my uttermost surprise they started charging me £5 monthly from October which I have no idea about.

I was in the middle of a mortgage application when I checked my credit file and realised that Vodafone has left a late payment on my credit file for £15.  I have been calling the customer service team for the last 4 weeks and been getting almost no help and at the end someone managed to reverse the bill to zero but i have been unable to get the credit team to amend my credit file! , I raised a dispute on my credit file only for Equifax and Experian to return saying Vodafone has not responded to my request to amed my credit file!

The customer agents told me that they continued charging for insurance which they shouldn't have, they admitted the mistake and reversed the bill however i have been unable to get hold of the credit team, pls I am unable to continue with my mortgage application because of this unfair treatment from Vodafone,  Can anyone help point me in the right direction pls? Surely there should be a way for Vodafone to be liable for all the difficulties they have caused me because of their own mistake.

The Vodafone Social Media Teams cant help from here but if you contact the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries  they have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team who can investigate @cyfash

You're very welcome @cyfash

I appreciate from my own personal experience how damaging this can be.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

We had a similar issue with a card company and dealt with it by getting to the head of compliance and threatening to take them to the regulator.  You need to go hard and high as this behaviour is unacceptable.  They can fix your credit file tomorrow if they want to.  Twitter works well.
