Hi I recently cancelled my pay monthly sim only (Date I put it through 17 October) to pay as you go (Date of cancellation November 17)  everything went to plan but I recently looked at my Experian and for some reason it says (in good standing up by £65) and for some reason I know this does not look right cause all my other my other credit accounts say in good standing £0.00 and on Experian its always shown £0.00 on the Vodafone account and another example I cancelled my other contract provider three a couple years ago and they have never put me up in credit always been £0.00 I am definitely thinking something is wrong someone please tell me is this (positive or negative) also my credit score has gone down by-18

Just want to add I have phoned Vodafone customer service billing team and they said I don't owe any money so I guess that means that I am not overdue and they also sent me my final bill and refunded me cause they owed me money cause I payed to much (in advance every month)

If this was my situation @AL1_1 I'd contact the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries as they have a dedicated Credit File Specialist Team.

And I'd speak to Experian directly about this too.

I wish you all the best with this.

Hi @AL1_1, as @AnnS has mentioned it can take 30 working days for your credit file to update on third party credit agencies such as Experian. As your cancellation went through on 17 November and your records updated on 22 November, if there was any credit due to be refunded to you this can keep your account active on your credit file.

If you've reached out to us on Social Media, we'll make sure your records are amended with lenders and major credit reference sites. Any amendments we make can take 30 working days to reflect on their credit reports. By including your Community username and link to your thread when messaging us on Twitter or Facebook, we'll see your query here so you won't need to write it out again.

Hi @AL1_1

Experian have given you the correct information. See below:

Closed Accounts and your credit history

When are Closed Accounts Deleted?

It would also be worth remembering that it takes 30 days for a credit file to be updated.

If you have been sent a final 0.00 bill, your account with Vodafone will be closed with nothing further owing and will show as 0.00 on your credit file.

Hi @AnnS

Thanks for your reply but the links you sent for Experian are irrelevant to what I am saying I already know of them pages you sent as it states with the Experian free credit report updates every month with Experian credit expert updates dailyFree Experian account updates every 30 daysFree Experian account updates every 30 daysPaid Experian credit expert updates dailyPaid Experian credit expert updates daily.

And regarding the final bill that I already stated that the billing team I spoke to already sent me my final bil via emaill and has also refunded me cost.
