Invalid number

People are telling me my number is coming up invalid when they try to call me and some people are saying that text messages are comimg up not sent, this isnt happening all the time only occassionaly. Sometimes they get through other times they arent.

May I ask a few questions @Gazzotw ...

 

Is this issue happening no matter where you visit i.e. using different masts ?

Vodafone status-checker.

 

Have you recently ported your number from another UK operator to Vodafone UK  ?

 

As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone to see if things change ?

Hi @Gazzotw 

 

That sounds very much like a SIM fault and you may very well find a replacement SIM from a Vodafone Store solves the issue.  The self checks you can make can be found below.

Network Issues

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.

 

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

 

I see no errors its when people are trying to call me or text me, they have had to contact me on whatapp, to tell me about the problem. Sometimes they get through sometimes it comes up on their phone invalid number, other cant get through ever. i portrd my number to Vodafone in February so i dont know who else hasnt got through.

 

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

 

I wouldnt know i have no problems phoning out only receiving calls or texts.

    

6) When did you first notice this issue?

 

When somebody made me aware of the problem. it could heve been since i ported accross.

 

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

I wouldnt know like i said i can phone out, sometimes also i have receives texts 2 days after someone sent it
