My Vodafone App on Android 7.0

This app works fine on Android 6.0 but refuses to work on Android 7.0

 

Keeps on popping up with this message and I have not found a way around it yet.

 

"We're having a few technical difficulties at the moment. We're working hard to get things sorted"

 

Does this app simply not work on Android 7.0 or am I missing something obvious?

Hi,

 

Nougat 7.0 is relatively new so it could be presenting possible issues or it's something else entirely. 

 

Which Android phone are you using ? 

 

May I ask > Have you tried clearing the caches of the app and or deleting and re downloading it ?

Nexus 6P and tried clearing cache, data, uninstalling, reinstalling already.

Fair enough in regards to the troubleshooting suggestions.  :Sad_face:

 

As part of your own troubleshooting the app works ok on Marshmallow so this could indeed be a case of the app catching up with Nougat. 

 

Can I ask if Have you you recently checked to see if any app updates are showing. 

 

Possibly look in google play play to see if any other comments exist that maybe similar to yours. 

 

Give feedback perhaps.

Already did that checked for updates yesterday and today, seems like it needs updating and emailed the developer just now via the playstore.

Hi. Feed this back to the developer via the play store, you can email them at mobileapps2(at)vodafone.co.uk

Replace the (at) with the symbol as you can't post it on the forum.

I have just updated my Note4 to Android 7.0 and the App is working.
I factory reset my phone as well after upgrade and reinstalled all Apps from full backup.

So you might have issue with Account. Best option is to reset your Account.

I thought android 7.0 was not out yet for the note4? running cyanogenmod by some chance?
