Hi, I'm currently abroad for the holidays and my phone will not connect to the network no matter what I do, Was I supposed to reg the number before I left? It says forbidden after vodafone.ie when you try to select it in the network settings.

I appreciate how not being connected can be frustrating and inconvenient.

So let's see if we can get this resolved for you.

Is this a new Payg account from Vodafone UK  ? If so then yes it needs to have been used on the Vodafone UK Network while in the UK for best results.

It might be worth just checking that no roaming bars are activated in your account via your myvodafone @Jcsoulinger

Live Chat might also be able to help and or the abroad number in contact-us.

It could also be worth trying your sim card in another phone just incase your phone is to blame via a roaming internal bar or it is having issues using the abroad network. 

Can I assume your in Ireland ?

Is it possible the Ireland network is having it's own issues?

Sometimes it's been known to help by trying to select another network in the phones connection settings.
