No incoming calls or texts after porting number

Hi,
It has been 1 week since I ported my number to Vodafone. However, I have been told it has not been ported fully as a result of a split port. I cannot receive calls and cannot send or receive texts. I've called Vodafone customer services endlessly over the past week and spoken to the porting team as well who have told me nothing but lies. They said they have sorted it out on 3 separate occasions and told me to wait 24 hours, yet it is still the same.

On my last call I was told they have escalated my query and have asked my previous network to send over the remaining files that were supposed to come along with the porting process. However, I have spoken to 3 and they say they have nothing else to send.

It is unbelievable that in my first week of contract with Vodafone I am unable to use the service because I cannot receive calls or texts. No one is offering solutions and I now keep getting fobbed off when I call Vodafone customer service. 1 week of no service is terrible. Please someone help!

Hi JShields

You need to call customer services up and ask to speak to the porting team.  They are responsible for dealing with number porting and will be able to assist you further.

Hi Julie,

Yes, you need to talk directly to the porting team they are the only people that can sort it for you. They weren't too keen to talk to me and I had to get my new provider to sort them out, but I was porting away from Vodafone whereas you are porting into Vodafone I think, in which case they won't want to lose new business and might be a bit more responsive. They will have to communicate with your old provider to sort it out more likely than not. Good luck!

Hi JShields, the porting team in India cannot help you as they don't have the relevant software (I've been told by Directors office). Email the directors office. Noone else can help you. I cannot put emails here but figure it out, no spaces:

Hi, i have had a new contract for about a week. I also ported my number from another provider to vodafone and am having the same issues. I can call and text but people can not call or text me. Can anyone help? I have rang customer services about 5 times and have also gone in store but no1 seems to be helping or know any resolution.

Hi there

It sounds like you have a split port from what you describe.  This is when the porting process doesn't go quite right and not all the functionality moved over correctly.  Often this is caused by corrupt or incomplete porting files.

What you need to do is call up customer services and ask them to escalate your issue with the porting team who in turn will be able to help you resolve the problem.

Just to clarify, was this the porting team you were speaking with or the normal customer services?
