No incoming calls or texts after porting number

Hi,
It has been 1 week since I ported my number to Vodafone. However, I have been told it has not been ported fully as a result of a split port. I cannot receive calls and cannot send or receive texts. I've called Vodafone customer services endlessly over the past week and spoken to the porting team as well who have told me nothing but lies. They said they have sorted it out on 3 separate occasions and told me to wait 24 hours, yet it is still the same.

On my last call I was told they have escalated my query and have asked my previous network to send over the remaining files that were supposed to come along with the porting process. However, I have spoken to 3 and they say they have nothing else to send.

It is unbelievable that in my first week of contract with Vodafone I am unable to use the service because I cannot receive calls or texts. No one is offering solutions and I now keep getting fobbed off when I call Vodafone customer service. 1 week of no service is terrible. Please someone help!

You should be able to get an update from them via the normal customer services number.  Unfortunately, if it is a split port, it can take a little while to sort out.

HI @Vinny1991

Nope. They have said to wait 24-48 hours from Friday.. So not going to hear anything for a while as its the weekend.
They keep saying they can not see anything wrong and just keeps getting passed around different departments

Thanks ronnilobby but email address got removed striaght away before i could see it

FINALLY !!!

has now been fixed after pointless amounts of emailing, ringing and visiting store. no-one seemed to know what to do. just kept passing me from department to department. kept telling me to do things on my phone like manually select vodafone as a carrier, telling me its an issue with my phone even though i tried it in multiple phones. luckily i finally found someone in the southampton store which kind of knew what the issue was and got straight onto the case. opening a high level ticket with a 'Super user' and withing 3 days was fixed.

still not happy with the fact it took 3 weeks to get sorted and taking money out of my account which clearly i was not getting support for. asked for a refund which apparently has been given back to me but still waiting!

one thing i have learnt is do not use the vodafone webchat or ring their customer services! as they are useless! go into store and then people can not lie to you as you can keep going back and they will get the blame.

finally can start using my phone properly.

Hi @Vinny1991

I'm very glad to hear that it's been resolved. Apologies that it took so long but thank you for posting about your experience here.

I'm having the same problem as Vinny it seems, been onto customer services etc numberous times but getting no where with this.

Any chance of some assistance on here please?

Looks like a split port issue as above, cannot receive calls but can dial out.
