No incoming calls or texts after porting number

Hi,
It has been 1 week since I ported my number to Vodafone. However, I have been told it has not been ported fully as a result of a split port. I cannot receive calls and cannot send or receive texts. I've called Vodafone customer services endlessly over the past week and spoken to the porting team as well who have told me nothing but lies. They said they have sorted it out on 3 separate occasions and told me to wait 24 hours, yet it is still the same.

On my last call I was told they have escalated my query and have asked my previous network to send over the remaining files that were supposed to come along with the porting process. However, I have spoken to 3 and they say they have nothing else to send.

It is unbelievable that in my first week of contract with Vodafone I am unable to use the service because I cannot receive calls or texts. No one is offering solutions and I now keep getting fobbed off when I call Vodafone customer service. 1 week of no service is terrible. Please someone help!

@Lozmoz

Welcome to the Community.

With porting done in stages, you may well find it sorts itself out later today.

If there are still issues late this afternoon, please use Live Chat, they will get your service fully online.

In the meantime, you should still be able to receive calls on your Three phone.

I too have this issue (sorry, started a new thread before checking) only mine has been ongoing since Jan 27th in fact.

Surely there must be some sort of escalation team that can actually sort this out? I've been on with so many different people at Vodafone, the latest was allegedly 2nd line tech support who told me I have to wait another 5 days as they need to escalate again to "super user" ??

Acceptable? I think not.

Hi All, don't listen to their BS, I am a long time customer and had this problem on our 2 phones for a week. After a few days they told me that on the mast there are 3 cells and 2 were missing, either stolen or damaged. It took another few days (7 days in total) and service was restored. I kept a log of every call , date, time and who I spoke to. I have not finished with my issue and have lodged a formal complaint. Worst customer service ever. Good luck !

If you pop over onto Vodafone's facebook page (Vodafone UK), you will see customers are given a "Contact Us" code and link.

You then go through a simple account verification process, and hopefully get in touch with someone who can help you.

Live Help should be the quickest way of getting help but if you are not getting the help you need, try the Facebook approach.

click on the button to go straight to Vodafone's Facebook page.

I've been with Vodafone for 3 days and ported my number over from EE all ok. This morning I get a message on my phone saying Vodafone have removed 4G from my account and now I can't receive any incoming calls. I can dial out and send and receive texts ok. Still in 14 days so how can I cancel or get my issue resolved? Vodafone customer services is a joke as I'm constantly passed to so many different operators.

IF YOU WANT YOUR SANITY AND ARE STILL WITHIN YOUR 14 DAYS I WOULD GO ELSESWHERE!!! Hi, welcome to the phone network who pass u from pillar to post Without actually resolving the problem. I've had the issue of split porting since December and still am unable to get anyone to help. Not even the fraud team who send endless emails to head office to request them to contact the 3 network to port back the remainder of my number are any help. Everything I ring them they have nothing else to say but all they can do is to chase Vodafone HQ to pull their finger out and simply contact 3!!! DO NOT CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AS YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. They have disconnected my phone on 3 occasions without gbeing able to tell me why. Guess what! I'm disconnected again and trying to get it reconnected. 20 yrs of loyalty and 3 other lines on my account mean nothing. At my wits end. RECONNECT ME AND SORT MY PORTING ISSUE!!!!!!!!

I forgot to add that the whole problem started when a fraudulent attempt was made to cancel my contract and transfer to 3. I only realised when I had no network coverage and when I rang customer service they said I requested cancellation of my contract. It took me a week to reconnect and since then I have not been able to receive calls from family and friends on the 3 network. The fraud attempt happened in December and I am still chasing Vodafone to resolve this issue.
