Trade In - Phone Condition?

When trading in a phone, what is considered fair wear and tear and what are Vodafone looking at specifically to obtain the full cash value back?
The Trade In tool seems to only focus on the screen rather than the case...

All a person can do is answer the trade in questions and then Vodafone will assess it when the phone has been recieved.

One would assume the housing would need not to have cracks or deep gouging but instead have normal wear and tear from usage.

Yes @Chris1012 , as you have done you use the Application trade in tool to assess the condition of the phone and will receive a guaranteed trade in quote, this is providing you purchase an airtime plan within 7 days of receiving the quote.  Vodafone have all the information on the Evo link here: Evo Trade In

Your other alternative is to sell the phone privately, you may receive more for the phone to put towards a new phone to go with an airtime contract.
