How does trade work. I currently in contract till next year and own iPhone 8. But like the look of galaxy s10plus

First I'd suggest to visit a Samsung Experience Store or Highstreet Store that has the working retail models of the s10 phones to be able to get to grips with one to make sure you do still like them.

You have a few options.

Buy the phone you like outright from a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Online Shop or from a Highstreet Store that sells the phone unlocked and just insert your Vodafone sim card and carry on as before.

And then you could sell your current phone to someone you know or a Highstreet Store that buys phones or keep it as a back up phone. 

Or look at the Vodafone Upgrade options in > What-s-a-Flexi-upgrade-and-how-do-I-get-one.

" A Flexi-upgrade lets you upgrade your Pay monthly plan after 6 months with an early upgrade charge. "

And then you could Trade in your old phone > Vodafone > Trade-in-my-old-device.
