Vodafone Employee Advantage charge

Hello

I am a vodafone customer who has just upgraded my contract. I have a friend who works for a company who offer the VEA scheme. She would like to give me the discount as one of her friends, however we have a question about the £10 charge.

I understand that I would have to pay a £10 charge to have the discount applied, but would my friend also have to pay £10? She is a vodafone customer herself, but she does not currently have VEA applied to her tariff as it wasn’t eligible (due to her having a discounted rate). Therefore she has never paid the £10 charge herself. Can she still give me a discount in this situation without paying a charge herself?

I also have another friend who has access to VEA but she does NOT have a vodafone contract - can she still pass on discounts to her friends/family?

Two simple answers.

No your friend won't pay the £10 charge - only you.

Yes you can enrol someone in the VEA scheme even if you aren't a Vodafone customer.
