Hi @monika1977

There should be a short code number on the reverse charged text message.  If you put the number on the PSA website, you should get details of the company charging you £4.50 on a weekly basis.   You will then be in a position to contract the third party direct, make a complaint to the company sending the reverse charge message and get your money back that way.

If you refer to the link below, this will provide a link to the premium rate regulator, PSA and provide further information and help.

How can I dispute a charge for a premium rate service on my bill?

There are bars available direct through the network.  Please follow the link below for details on how to apply restriction bars direct from your online account.

How can I stop premium rate services being accessed from my phone?

You should be able to send STOP to the short code, but I always like to advise caution when doing this, by replying to the number, you are only confirming your telephone number and may well find other scammers sending you unwanted expensive reverse charge messages.

I have done some research for you.  The short code number would probably be 64546. When you put this number on the PSA website, the search results will come up.  There is also the link below for you.

@monika1977

Is this a mobile phone contract or a subscription your paying on top of your monthly tariff amount ?

All the information as to the process of cancelling a contract is in this link.

Cancel-account.

If your still in your contract period then there will be an Early Termination Fee.

Vodafone require 30 days notice if your cancelling and letting the mobile number go too.

If you wish to keep your number and take it to another network then ask for a Pac code and use it within 30 days of issue by giving it to another network.
