bt wholehome not working with gigacube

I have just set up a 4G gigacube but cannot get it to link with my BT Wholehome system.  Another person had the same issue and the moderator suggested that the problem would be investigated but I cannot see the solution anywhere.  I have connected via ethernet cable as normal but this just results in the gigacube losing connection.  Thank you for any help
