Help - despite 3 attempts with Live Chat supervisors over 3 weeks, I cannot get an NUC for an iPhone 7.  E-mails have verified ok (with on-screen acknowledgement) but no NUC/mail received afterwards.  A key worker's phone is useless as a result.

Hi @PB99

If you fulfil the criteria as mentioned here:  How do I unlock my device if I am not Vodafone customer?

and completed the request form on this link: Get an unlock code

under normal circumstances, it takes Apple up to 30 days to generate the unlock on their data base, there won't be a code, it will just be a matter of inserting an alternative network SIM in the phone or synchronising to itunes to complete the unlocking process.

Unfortunately, with lockdown in the US as well as here in the UK it will take longer than usual for Apple to complete the process and it will just be a matter of keep trying the alternative SIM or synchronising to itunes, if the unlock has been processed, there will be a message on the screen as confirmation.

Many thanks AnnS - this is not good news 😞

Hi @PB99

It can take just a few days after receiving the email from Vodafone for Apple to unlock the iPhone but it has been known for Apple to also occasionally take up to 30'ish days to complete the unlock.

It's out of Vodafones hands.

If you can't wait for this time frame then as I can see it the only other option is to use a reputable online unlocking site which would charge you a fee however.

Try inserting the alternative network sim card that's activated and hook up to iTunes to see if you get the unlocked message.

I wish you all the best with this situation.

@PB99 An NUC request will take 10 working days to complete once the team have verified the details. If this time has passed, please make sure any updates haven't been sent to your spam/junk folder in error.

Has it been 10 working days and you haven't received anything in those folders? The account holder can drop us a message on Facebook or Twitter - by including your Community username and link to your post they then won't need to repeat the query again. We can chase up the request with the team if needed and help them with unlocking their phone.

Thanks Natasha - we have nothing in spam folders/have not received anything else.  Talking to Livechat on 5th Apr, we were told our 26th Mar request/email validation had not worked.  10 working days from the 5th Apr expedited NUC request ("you should get a response in 48 hrs") is not until Tues 21st Apr.  Unfortunately I'm not on Twitter/Facebook ... is there another way I can get in touch if there is still no progress by next Wed?  Many thanks.
