Galaxy S8+ Vodafone supplied Network unlock code not working

Hi, 

 

I received a Network Unlock code from Vodafone for my Galaxy S8+ phone, unfortunately the code is not working. I get a an incorrect unlock code message. 

 Will appreciate any help I can get with this.

Is the alternative network sim card your using activated i.e connects to mobile data etc  ?

 

And are you currently in the UK  ?

 

With some Samsung Galaxy phones an unfreeze code as known as a mastercode is also needed as well as the Nuc @rfd13 

 

As customer service specifically for this via 191 or Live Chat.

 

Or the Vodafone Social Media Teams via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries.

To answer your question. Yes, I am in UK and the other sim card I am trying to use is working on other phones. 

 

I have reported the issue via chat to customer service, it has been more than a week but I have not heard back from them. 

 

Is there any other way of getting hold of Unlock code?

I think then this is most probably the need for a mastercode  / unfreeze code as I mentioned in my first reply.

 

It has also been known for the telephone agents / Live Chat to be able to generate an unlock code while engaging with them.

 

They should be able to give you the mastercode  / unfreeze code too.

 

To answer your final question _ Yes there are other avenues to securing an unlock code i.e a Highstreet Store that advertises they unlock phones although that would come at a cost to you.

 

I wouldn't recommend to use an online unlocking site.
