Problems getting NUC code

I have been given my Iphone6 from my old company, having retired, the phone i have had for over 4 years.

I have been given my PAC number, but want ot move networks and so need the NUC

I have followed the Vodafone system and used the online form but keep running into problems.

The form is sumitted with the correct IMEI number which i double checked, but a message comes back saying that the wrong IMEI number was entered ,did this twice - same result!!

I know my company used a third party to provide all phones to the staff and i think that is where the problem lies - they unfortunatley are offfering no help except at a cost!

The online help email to nucresystems just directed me back to the Vodafone NUC page.

So Looking for help to move forward, running out of ideas.........

As it's a business owned iPhone then the business themselves would need to request it's unlock using the account information.

An alternative is to use a Vodafone Payg sim card in the phone making calls, sending texts etc for 30 days and then request it's unlock using the new Payg details.

How-do-I-unlock-my-Vodafone-device-if-I-m-not-a-Vodafone-customer.

To add > The iPhone is not unlocked to all network's via inputting a Nuc {unlocking code} like other phone models are, but instead is unlocked remotely by Apple themselves and their Database.

So no actual Nuc is sent by Vodafone UK.

The Vodafone Network lets a person know by email it's unlocking has been requested to Apple after accepting your Nuc online unlock request. (Please Check Spam Inboxes too)

Please Note > The iPhone isn't actually usually unlocked to all networks at this stage when Vodafone email you.

What happens is Apple then process the Networks request and occasionally this can take approximately up to another 30 days sometimes from Vodafone's email to complete an unlock request made by a Network.

To complete the process please Periodically insert an active i.e. connects to mobile network data, alternative Networks Sim Card in the iPhone with hooking upto iTunes is only typically needed if its an iPhone 4 or older although it wouldn't harm to do so.

From the iPhone 5 onwards there's not normally the need to hook up to iTunes to complete the process.

When it's unlocked you should see a pop up message and the alternatives Networks name will show in the iPhone's status bar.

Thanks for this.

My Company has requested the contractor to unlock the phone - but they want paying to do it and then keep referring us to the Vodafone NUC help pages - so no help there.

I want to switch to Virgin - is this one of the networks on the unlocked list?

Once the unlock has completed your phone will work on all the networks wether their UK or foreign @minimax

Perhaps try the Payg route if your getting stuck.

It'll cost you a minimum top up of £5 and chose Payg1 as the tariff.
