Unlocking a 2nd hand phone

Hi, I’ve purchased an iPhone 7 Plus locked on Vodafone, they are willing to get it unlocked for me, will this be possible while the phone is in my possession

Hi @Abasit  yes the original owner can still request the unlock from Vodafone/Apple whilst the phone is in your possession. 

An alternative is for you to use a Vodafone PAYG sim in the phone, topping up and using for some calls, texts etc for 30 days then request the unlock yourself.
