This was a free replacement that Vodafone sent me after the V2 ceased working. Now this has died too. Last month it stopped and I followed all the trouble shooting stuff and it suddenly started working again, but after 2 weeks it is off again. There are no lights showing at all. I have done all the stuff again, leaving it unplugged for days before plugging it back again and performing the reset. This time it is staying dead.
I have read read all the other comments and it seems this is a common problem. However all the replies seem to be private, so I am wondering what is happening. Do I really just have to throw it in the bin? We get absolutely no mobile signal here so we are lost without it.
Solved! Go to best answer.
Hi @Glorie
No please don't throw it.
It has a 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty but even if that had elapsed Vodafone are aware some v3 models had issues.
Phone 191 and advise them its dead and they should replace it.
Please unplug it.

Thank you @BandOf Brothers.
I have just had a very long conversation with various parts of the Customer Services Team via the landline number as I cannot access the 191 without a signal. Ultmately they have agreed a free replacement of the SureSignal on condition I upgrade my plan. It will cost me an extra £1 a month - but that is still economically better than buying a new one.
A moment of madness within the call was when the automated voice asked me the nature of the problem, and after repeating myself several times was blunt and said 'My Sure signal has died' - the automated response was an offer to connect me to the Bereavement Team!!!
I am expecting the new SureSignal to arrive tomorrow. She said they will send a text to confirm the delivery time. I said not to bother - I will only get the text message once the new SS is up and running!
You are very welcome for my reply @Glorie
However I note you say they'll only replace if you upgrade your contract.
That's not warranted as they know of the issue and it's covered by a 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty.
They is no requirement for you to upgrade to be able to have a new Sure Signal
