Solution

One of my 2 Suresignal V3s has stopped working

I have two SureSignal V3s in the same room on the same router and same internet connection, Buying a second SureSignal was the only way that instantly proves when the problem is not my connection (fibre broadband)!

For months both SureSignals have been working perfectly.

Yesterday the second SureSignal started to show a red light and two solid orange lights on the right.

I’ve tried resetting it (a few times), swapping router ports, etc.

Any ideas?

When SureSignals work they are great, but when they (or Vodafones system) decide to play up, which is often, I’d gladly bin them. OH if only I could get a phone signal! I’m not even out in the sticks.

Hello Rahim

Thank you but I left the SS3 unplugged for 2 days and then plugged it back in and it appears to be working again.

I'll have to add this trick to my list of things to try in future

The serial number is

42152175180

if you wanted to investigate.

I believe that the underlying proble is that things get out of sync somewhere in the system.

Thank you. not sure of the relevance of the tracrt, as one of my SureSIgnals is working fine and the orthe did 'till it stopped and they both use exactly the same router and internet connection.

I remembered what I did last time I had a problem like this:

  1. De registered both Sure Signals on Vodafone portal
  2. Re registered both sure signals but ensuring that each ones primary associated phone was different.
  3. Added other phones in the house as administrators of each Sure Signal.
  4. Plugged SureSignals in and switched them on.
  5. For good measure I swapped the sure signals between ports on the router and mains sockets.
  6. Previously working SureSIgnal started working in about 2 minutes.
  7. Previously non working Sure Signal, still not working.
  8. Did a reset (15 second press of button) on non working SureSignal – its still not working. Red Power light flashing. 2 right hand lights solid orange.

Summary:

Total reset of both SSs on Vodafone portal and within SS3. One SS working one not.

@tonyvcarter Please provide us with the serial number for the Sure Signal that you're having trouble with.

Once we've got the serial number, we'll take a look from our end.
