Hi jamesb2k18,

I’ve checked the registration and can see that it’s not connected since your deregistered and reregistered the Sure Signal.

If both lights are still flashing it could mean that the box is faulty.

Are you able to try this on a different internet connection at a friend’s house to see if you get the same issue?

If you do, you’ll need to send it for repair.

James

Hi,

Am also having the same issue. My s/n is: 40110422413. Fw'd ports are 8 & 50 TCP and 500, 4500 and 123 UDP. The unit seems to be going up and down like a yo-yo. I have rebooted everything several times, too.

Many thanks.

Mr_Wobble.

Hi Julianturners,

Your IP address is fine.

The Sure Signal hasn't connected to the server since 29 August.

When you're performing a reset, are you following this process?

  1. Hold down the reset button until all the lights show (about 30 seconds)
  2. Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead
  3. Once all lights display release the reset button
  4. The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour

If you are, I advise trying the Sure Signal at a different location, ideally with a different ISP.

Thanks,

Ian

Hi, have followed the reset process several times and it seems to not have any effect.  I can try a different location but i do notice that after the reset there is no lights on the sure signal ethernet cable port so it tells me that it is not connecting to the outside world.  When the SS is reset it has a constant power signal showing and the other two flash white - after about 5-10 mins these extinguish and i am left with just the power light

Have you come accross this problem before? Firewall is set to low and i cannot see anything else that would mean it wouldnt work - with approx 50 % of the Midlands now on Virgin Broadband surely someone else has had this problem? I have had a brief look on the forum but no-one seems to have the same issue i do?

many thanks in advance for your help

Julian
