Sure Signal v2 not connecting

My v2 Sure Sugnal has not been able to connect. It sits with the two white lights flashing together and the network activity light flashing rapidly.

 

I have tried leaving it for over 24 hour hours without any change. I have reset the sure signal and tried two different routers. Both of which were otherwise working correctly.

@dgjeffrey7096 - The traceroute you provided is missing some details. So we can look into this further, please copy and paste this in full (including all hops) along with the following information:

 

  • Your speed test results from here.
  • Your ping test results from here.
  • Your external IP address from here.
  • Your Sure Signal serial number: 

VSS Traceroute command
On a PC:

  1. Click on Start and select Run
  2. Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok
  3. A black box will appear.
  4. In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter
  5. Paste the output of this command into your reply.

A Sure Signal does need a minimum of 1Mbps download and upload speeds to function correctly. You'd need to speak with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for help with your speeds :smileyhappy:

Hi @dgjeffrey7096, it may be that your upload and download speeds have differed. This could be for a number of reasons, such as maintenance in your area - however you'd need to speak with your Internet Service Provider for more information on this.

Thanks for the reply. It's pretty standard in terms of performance for the area and has been for about 6 years. ISP advises no maintenance and looking back at my records he speeds are consistent since 2014. I have an EE box connected (for work) and this is fine?

@dgjeffrey7096 If you're still facing issues, I'd recommend testing the Sure Signal at a different location. This will help determine if the fault lies with your ISP, setup or the Sure Signal.

@dgjeffrey7096 I can see that the Sure Signal has connected to our servers earlier this morning.

As you've mentioned your download and upload speeds have since improved, I've completed a resync on your Sure Signal. Please allow six hours to pass before resetting the device
