Sure signal no 3G

I've followed the troubleshooting thread for sure signal has the correct lights, but gives no 3G signal. It says to use the link, but the link is dead. So though I don't hold out a lot of hope I'm giving it one last try.

Its a sure signal 3. It has solid red ight, and the first two lights are white. The third is unlit.

It was working fine before and after a change of BB provider, but about a week after the BB provider changed, I stopped getting the 3G signal.  I'm now on talktalk fibre, was with post office (which is talktalk) before.

So it looks like its all connected fine but my mobile doesn't see any 3G signal. Tried deregistering and reregistering, resetting and so on.

The problem isn't the ethernet cable. The router setting that worked before are still there, and its the same router just a VDSL modem in place of the ADSL one, and remember it worked OK.

I can't try it 'somewhere else' as the local VF shop doesn't have broadband, and at work it wouldn't get through the firewalls and routers there.

Mine did the same on Thursday, but eventually sometime on Friday it switched to flashing red light and the 2nd and 4th light being solid orange.

It appears to be a large issue with a number of vodafones sure signals when used with BT (also Plusnet who uses some of BT's network)

Basically there's a lot of annoyed Vodafone customers and very little info from Vodafone themselves

Yes, the support from VF is pretty useless. It took me hours last time I had an issue, but  sorted it myself. I've spent around eight hours again on tgis, and rather than just consigning the thing to the dustbin, decided to give them one last chance. Not expecting to do anything other than skip it though, but it would be lovely if VF did prove me wrong.

@duncanblowe

Please take a look at our statement here.

Thanks Wayne. A bit of a vague statement, but I'll have to wait. Is 'next Sunday' the 10th April?

The statement got updated, and says the issue is fixed, so to reset the suresignal. I've done this but it still didn't work. However after switching the phone off and back on, it is now working OK. You might like to add that to the statement.

By the way, can we know what the issue was? Having spent many hours on this one changing my own router settings, I'd like to understand what it was that caused the problem.

So, that's a NO then?

We don’t provide specific information on this.

I’m happy to hear things are now up and running.
