Vodafone Sure Signal V3 not working at all, never has.

I bought a second hand V3 unit off Ebay and have not had anything other than a solid red power light on.

 

I have triend everything multiple times over the past two weeks including factory resets, router swaps, registering and deregistering and nothing has come close to even feeling like it is helping.

 

My first question for anyone who may be able to help is, should the unit be issued an IP address from the router as I am not seeing it in the DHCP table and never have done yet?

 

I am ready to send it back to the seller and get my money back but feel I should exhaust all routes to making it work before doing so.

VSS Traceroute command

On a PC:

Click on Start and select Run

Type CMD into the Run box and press enter/click ok

A black box will appear.

In this box type tracert 212.183.133.177 press Enter

Paste the output of this command into your reply.

This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.

I understand you can help with Sure Signal problems. Mine was working fine for just over a year and has now stopped working with only a red power light coming on. I have tried all available troubleshoot options but still no success. I do have a flickering light at the end of the ethernet cable which connects my Sure Signal to internet. However, my Sure Signal is not listed in the devices connected to my router so I'm quite certain it is not conected to the internet. I've also tried restarting it but holding the restart button doesn't do anything (no lights appear as I think you said they should). Here are the details which might help you resolve my issue:

Sure Signal family name: Alcatel-Lucent 9361 Home Cell p3.0

Serial No: 40133825329

External IP: 82.20.121.248

Download speed: 62.61 Mbps

Upload speed: 3.01 Mbps

Ping: 21 ms

Jitter: 3 ms

Traceroute: '212.183.133.177' is not recognised as an external or internal command, operable program or batch file.

 

P.S. I've reregistered the Sure Signal and waited 24 hrs as advised. Still one red power light on.

Please can you make sure that the IPSEC setting has been ticked on your router.

 

If you’re unsure on how to do this, please contact your internet service provider.

 

Once this has been done, if the Vodafone Sure Signal isn't working we'll need to take a look at the device, see our process here.
