Hi

My mum, who is also a Vodafone Pay Monthly customer is having troble sending a MMS on her Nokia Lumia 520.

Is this a common problem or can it be fixed.

Thanks Craigy1892

Thank you, this solved it for me. It never occurred to me that I'd need to switch that back on :smileyhappy:

Hi,

Apologies, we seem to have missed your post.

Did you get this sorted? Let us know if you need any further help.

Thanks,

Matt

Yes, got it sorted and the phone has just stopped receiving picture messages again.

This forum is a bit useless for sorting out issues isn't it?

Regards,

John

Managed to set it on my wifes new phone.

One problem certain users maybe encountering is that the SMS Centre Number is wrong; for some reason my wifes had been set to her phone number and changing it to +447785016005 has solved the issue - hope this helps some

Ok Vodafone cant help because they are not up to speed with windows phones.

After the update to WP8.1 an internal EEPROM setting got screwed up.

A full reset wont fix the firmware memory that the GPRS modem uses.

To fix this problem.

Go to settings.

Scroll down to access point.

then press the "+" at the bottom of the page to create a new one.

You are going to create a dummy one.

Give it a name like "Dummy"

give the APN name a dummy name and then save it.

It will tell you that there may not be enough information but click ok.

Then in the access point screen tap dummy and wait for it to go active.

Your original vodafone APN will now say inactive.

Tap the original and wait for it to say active.

All should now be fixed.

Enjoy.

Hey,

I have posted a simple solution on my blog here, it is working out for most of the Lumia & HTC users. And I do not think it has anything to do with your network provider.

See if it fixes your issue. Let me know.
