Hi

My mum, who is also a Vodafone Pay Monthly customer is having troble sending a MMS on her Nokia Lumia 520.

Is this a common problem or can it be fixed.

Thanks Craigy1892

Hi Craigy1892,

This can definitely be fixed.

The first thing that we need to do is make sure the correct settings are in the phone.

The easiest way to do this is to take a look at our internet settings page.

If you are still having trouble after this, contact the team here to get the account checked.

If you have any comments regarding how I have handled your query today, please complete our short feedback survey.

I have the same Nokia Limia 520 Mms issue since my phone ran an automatic update.

I now can't send or receive picture messages.I spoke to someone online and they couldn't help.Same result when I went into my local Vodafone branch.

Tried the texting Web approach and still no change.

Hi there JMWright,

Thanks for posting.

Can you send a picture message to yourself?

If not, please list the APN settings you have at the moment.

Could you also let me know if you're Pay monthly or Pay as you go?

Cheers,

LeeH

Hi,

Pay monthly.I have been trying to input apn settings manually using online guides.

The Vodafone guide how to do it does not reflect how the screens appear on my phone.

I am trying using the settings menu, then access point, then add new apn settings.

Tried so many times it driving me nuts.I understand that the lumia won't accept settings via text.

Hope you can help.....asap.

Jon.

Hi JMWright

Can you go the Market Place for me, then go to Nokia Collection and select Network Set Up.

If you run this and select Vodafone Pay monthly this should fix it for you.

Thanks

Simon

Network set up does not exist in the marketplace or the Nokia collection.....This is unbelievable,do any of you actually know how to fix this issue.

Hi JMWright,

The only option I can think of is to do a factory reset of the phone.

To do this go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.

This will erase all your data and personal content so make sure the important details are backed up.

The phone will get the correct settings as part of the set up process.

Thanks,

Andrew

Already tried that during the 24 hours waiting for a reply on this pointless forum.

Time to leave Vodafone.
