And you believed them? Come on now, nothing promised so far has happened so don’t hold your breath.
It’s not that I believed them, it’s all we’ve got to really go on. At the current rate I’d be surprised if we get them before Christmas.
I was told re stock was on the 14th also told that my compensation would be money taken off my bill calculated at the cost of my plan per day and how many days it’s late
Hi all,
Please be assured that we're continuing to work hard with Apple to get your orders to you as soon as possible. We completely understand and appreciate how frustrating this must be.
As mentioned previously, when your order is due to be delivered we'll send you a text or email from DPD to let you know what date and time this will be sent. We'll also be keeping you updated via text in regards to our stock.
We really appreciate your patience during this time.
and the winner of the most useless and unhelpful reply goes to Natasha
To be fair, I’ve had worse replies. I asked one Vodafone chap 3 questions via DM on twitter. He replied with three answers, but he answered questions which I didn’t even ask him. Totally pointless.
to be fair to Vodafone employees, they probably know about as much as we do. Lack of communication in house and to customers. I suspect many employees are as unhappy as we are
Wow Natasha - your ability to copy and paste is legendary! You have made me feel so much better and my loyalty to Vodafone is now restored and absolute.
Guys, it's only a watch!
If your watch delivery is taking too long then cancel the order and buy elsewhere. I picked up a 44mm SG in the Apple Store today.
Be aware that you'll need to wait for the cancelation to go through so that they can reset the association between you phone an the new watch
Life is too short to stress about this, Worry about the big things!
Explain THIS vodafone - Your sales team are STILL lying to customers!
I want to purchase the Apple Watch
Me : Hi. If I order an apple watch - how long will it be before I receive it?
TOBi: To purchase the Apple watch, I just need to check which customer type you are.
TOBi: 1. New Customer | ||||
TOBi: 2. Existing Customer
Me : This is the 44 mm series 4
TOBi: Okay, before you are connected with a human agent, we just need to know what device you currently using. Are you currently using an iPhone?
Me : Yes | ||||
TOBi: Which iPhone do you have?
TOBi: 1. iPhone 7 | ||||
TOBi: 2. iPhone 8 | ||||

Me : Then why am I still waiting for the one I preordered a week before launch and was promised it on launch day?
Harpreet: It can be fulfilled within 24 hours too Andrew. ![]()

I don’t think they are knowingly lying. I think they genuinely have no idea what they are doing.
Hi Corius. I know it’s just a watch but it’s gone beyond that for a lots of us. We have stayed loyal to this brand, myself over 11 years and there’s people been on this forum who have been with them longer than that , it’s the simple lack of real customer service and being lied to as a means to cover mistakes with credit checks and stock amounts and allocations. If they had been straight with me in the first place I would not be on this forum . I have spent a fortune with this company over the years and the fact they have stock in stores further proves the point. How many people on existing contracts go to a store to upgrade ??? The stock is for new customers and they just lie and fob off the existing customers who are tied into contracts. They should re allocate the store stock as a matter of loyalty to us . I have had customer services lie to me blatantly and been very rude, so its gone way and beyond the watch itself.
If anyone from Vodafone is reading this can they let me know how i can cancel my order for a watch. I managed to get one directly from Apple yesterday so no need for my order now. However the two people i have spooken to in CS say i can'd cancel it as its an open order. yet others seem to have managed to do just that. How crazy is it that you can't cancel something that's not been dispatched??
Orders can be cancelled - it needs to be done by a 'back office' team which work only Monday to Friday. If you don't get any satisafaction getting CS to request a cancellation, then I'd recomend email the CEO and let the Director's office deal with it. It seems to be the only route to getting any sense out of Vodafone right now.
Thanks garethr, got though to someone on chat who appraently filled in a form to cancel the order. lets see if it works.
I’ve been waiting for 5 days for my order to be cancelled. Spoke to 191 this morning who said they’d call me back Monday if it’s not cancelled.
I ordered 44mm on the 18th.
after numerous messages to wait 3 days. I then had one to wait 10 days. Today, another 10 day message. The blame Apple for not providing stock.
yawn
I also ordered on the 18th and got the same message.. on the other hand my work colleague who ordered on the 21st got his today... so that’s 2 people who I personally know that are new customers to Vodafone have their nice shiny new 44mm watches before me... maybe it’s about time I stopped moaning and stopped paying my bill and moved to another provider.... I’ve been a Vodafone customer for 18 years and the customer service has hit rock bottom recently
by now, this is nothing new.....also ordered 17th (told i'll probably be a couple of weeks, so at least i expected a wait), After reading all sorts of issues with activating cellular i called 191 just to check. After nearly 20 mins on the phone, the third transfer finally told me that my data plan would not be compatible with the watch and that i would either need to pay more to upgrade the tariff or cancel.....quality customer service options there Vodafone, thanks very much - pity you couldnt have told me that in the first place 3 weeks ago!!!!
I got continually told there is no stock and no idea when next coming - i pulled up PC world website as i was talking to them and ordered one then and there for delivery tomorrow.
So we'll see if they do indeed cancel with the 24-48hrs turnaround they stated over the phone.
Not good Vodafone..........not good!
Unfortunate I have two kids under two so I need to get a contract one otherwise if I could afford it I’d buy one.
