Divert calls from abroad

Hi,

I've come USA (not covered by Euro traveller which I like) and forgot to divert my calls to another UK mobile number.

Does anyone know how to divert my calls from here so it registered as a UK to UK divert?

I've been told that a UK to UK divert uses my bundle minutes for diverted calls which is fine. I'm worried that using the divert calls function on my iPhone 4s settings here may register as a USA to UK divert and cost a fortune.

Any advice welcome.

Hi IainBrodie4,

If you set a divert up now, you’d be charged twice.

This would be for the call to your phone and then for the diverted call from your phone to the other number.

Any diverts are best being set up when you’re in the UK before you go.

On this occasion, you may be better off leaving everything as it is.

The only other option I can think of is to change my voicemail message referring to the other number. I've had hassle with voicemail in the past when I'm abroad. I've looked and can see any instructions. Is this a straightforward option?

Hi Iain,

You can set up a personal greeting as follows:

• Call 121 free from your Vodafone mobile
• Choose option 1, then option 2 for the greetings menu
• Record your very own voicemail message to greet anyone who calls
