can anyone help with setting up email on my iPhone 8
it keeps saying not being able to send and smtp is wrong to contact network provider
my husband had o2 and all he did was entered smtp.o2.co.uk and voila
tried the same with Vodafone but to no avail
The s8's set up wizard should really be enough to set up an email account.
Then there's the manual set up.
Are you choosing imap or the Pop3 selection.
Sometimes I've had to repeatedly delete and input the email credentials for it to work.
That or check in with your email provider to ensure no issues exist on that side.
Does the phone accept other types of email account ?
You could also try clearing the cache etc by going into phones settings, apps, email ,storage, clear cache and data.

Are you saying you have assumed the SMTP server is smtp.vodafone.co.uk?
You will need to ask Fasthosts what their SMTP server is, and what authentication it needs.
