IPHONE X - FALSE ADVERTISING

Having upgraded both mine and my partners contracts (same account) to the new iPhone X I am still waiting over two weeks later. I too have received the emails about the delays. Customer services are useless and blatantly lie. I would not have upgraded if I knew I wouldn't receive the handsets within the specified delivery time. My partners is a Xmas present so I can't describe how annoyed I am. It's highly unlikely we will receive them now but I don't understand why they still advertising 1-2 weeks on the website. This is false advertising and tomorrow I will make a complaint through the proper channels.   I feel for the people who are ringing and upgrading. On another note all other networks and third party suppliers have the phones on stock!!!!

I tried to cancel both my upgrades but was told I would need to wait for the phones then send them back? Are they serious?

You can cancel the upgrades and not wait until they have been delivered @Doddy78

The front line agents cannot cancel the orders so you will need to ask them to escalate this to a superuser to do.

I do not know if youve been part of an iPhone launch before but I'm afraid the frenzy created by one always leads to delays and slipped deliveries on all the Networks and with the independents. Even the Apple Stores suffer delays.

This is why in my experience its better to let all that die down and then upgrade etc as there's a better chance of getting a unit.

The dates on the online stores I assume is reflecting what their expected shipment in of available units are to them.

Hello there,

I had the exact same experience, except I ordered the 6th and it was out of stock but I received an email last night saying it was going to be delivered today. (Vodafone put my address from 3 years ago down so I have to wait another day which is annoying, but my excitement is overruling)

@BandOfBrothers gave me the same advice and it is absolutely true.

I expect that Vodafone are understanding as to the situation we are or was in, especially due to the time of year. I wouldn't say you would be waiting much longer, just give it 14-18 days instead of 7-10 and you'll be getting a much more realistic, level-headed answer.

If I was you, I wouldn't cancel at this point. It'll be with you soon enough. If you are indeed too impatient or there are other circumstances, like above mentioned, call 03333040191 for the specialist team which'll deal with order cancellation for you. The live chat can't do anything to help, so to save you the annoyance, the number above will take you to the relevant department directly.
